When we decided to renovate and expand the home we’d lived in for 8 years, our goal was to create the most energy efficient, green home possible while making cost effective choices and with low future operating costs.  One of our first steps was to hire Judy Martin of Green Home Consulting whom we call our “Queen of Green”.”

Judith Martin is the founder and president of Green Home Consulting, LLC. She was born and raised in New York State and has lived in Westchester County since 1993. Her focus on the impact of homes on the environment began in 1981 when she purchased an 80-year-old home in East Hampton, New York.

Judy is a member of the Board of the New York League of Conservation Voters and a Trustee on the Board of Trustees for Wainwright House in Rye, the oldest holistic health center in the country. She is a member of a number of environmental organizations including the U.S. Green Building Council, NESEA, the Nature Conservancy, Federated Conservationists of Westchester County, and the Environmental Advocates of New York. She is also a committee member for Greening Our Children.

Prior to founding GHC, Judy was a senior investment banker with Goldman, Sachs & Co. and earned her BS degree from Boston University and her MBA from Columbia Business School.
